玩玩
Have a somewhat less familiar Zhu Yilong song I like, 我会等. (It comes from a Thai-Chinese horror film apparently, so if, like me, (mild) horror is not your thing, maybe avoid some of the video images.)
Also a couple of words I learned this week that I like: 甜甜圈, doughnut (“sweet sweet encircle”), and 小事一桩, nothing to it, no sweat, お安い御用, a piece of cake (a piece of doughnut?). (一桩 is 一樁 in 繁体字, which I can’t help reading as “one camellia.”)
好好休息(好好努力)吧!

Date: 2022-05-15 11:26 pm (UTC)In theme(?) with your ZYL song rec, here's one by Zhou Shen: 天堂岛之歌 (which, despite the name, is horror-themed as well!)

Wow. His otherworldly high range is so well suited to that kind of creepiness when he wants it to be, he's got such a huge range of expression as well as pitch...

Date: 2022-05-16 10:30 pm (UTC)Here is where my "sorry, not watching horror even for Zhu Yilong" reflex comes in handy! It's too bad. But it really is a lovely song.

Date: 2022-05-16 03:34 am (UTC)Speaking of traditional, a rabbithole I accidentally went down today thanks to a Discord discussion – the Wikipedia page on character conversion and related:
aka, roughly:
At which point translator's note that
keikaku means plangiven that Italy is 義大利 in trad, the first character 義 would usually simplify to 义, but the Correct™️ simplified for is actually 意大利 instead. Which isn't even a problem I had thought about before, before even getting into the actual vocabulary differences per-region usage.(For the record, Wikipedia currently offers 6 options: Mainland Simplified, Hong Kong Traditional, Macau Traditional, Malaysia Simplified, Singapore Simplified, and Taiwan Traditional. I say "currently" because these have been split out over the years – HK/Macau and Malaysia/Singapore used to each be combined at some point.)
Anyway, on a completely unrelated note, I have 我問天 on the mind for some reason??

(When I was a translation manager these were the two big ones, plus very occasionally Hong Kong--I don't remember Macau, Malaysia (for Chinese), or Singapore ever coming up.) Also on a not completely unrelated note, that 妳 for 你 in the (very catchy) 我问天 you linked! I get 妳'd by my friend in Taiwan a lot and it always takes me a moment.
