Both work, but repeating the first character only feels more natural to me!
(also, that should be 真的是 instead!)

“清华好不好？” 我就情不自禁：“好！！” 那要不当然，当然好啊！
“还考不考清华？” “考！！！” 我倒是想考，我考不上了，哈哈哈……
Context: 清华 aka 清华大学/Tsinghua University is a Very Very Big Name Uni, to put it mildly, and one of his (many) CNY performances was with their alumni choir, whom he took a photo with after the show… hence the interviewer asking "so did it feel like walking into a room of senior citizen 学霸 aka straight-A++++ students" LOL
(And yes I realise this doesn't actually explain what he's saying………… I'll drop a link to the gifset here when I make it haha. In the meantime 看你们明不明白吧 :P)
