Unsurprisingly, I'm having trouble finding/recognizing this particular "正在 + V + 着 + 呢" usage with its "virtually every part is optional." In happier news (for me), I figured out how to search for 'character' followed by variable characters followed by 'character' using regular expressions (yay).

Maybe this is one?

Honestly I'm not sure about the 呢 examples! Could be? (I found mine by looking through the Guardian script for 正在 and/or some main verbs with 着).

I used, for example: 正在+.呢 where "." is "any character."
These also worked in returning the same results:
正在+\D呢 (\D = any non-digit character)
正在+\w呢 (\w = any word)
