As of yesterday we’ve been through the whole A2 grammar list on the Chinese Grammar Wiki, so based on previous polls, as of tomorrow we’ll start on the B1 list. I will also start adding a link per day to older posts starting from A1, so that anyone who wants to work on/review more introductory grammar can do so (if commenting, do please comment on the new posts, not the linked old ones). Isn't it fun? Rewatching The Rebel, there was a sign by a telephone box reading 公用德律风, and it took me a moment to figure out the characters and then I went 哎哟哟...

I have a couple of links about Chinese fonts to share. :)

1. A YouTube video about the five different historical Chinese writing styles (seal, clerical, regular, semi-cursive, cursive). The first part of the video goes over the different historical periods when each style was developed, and then there's a comparison of the different styles starting at about 5:19. (The video is in Cantonese, but there are English subtitles.)

WOW. That's astonishing. I think the thing that struck me most was that they didn't try to standardize it by radicals etc., they worked on _individual characters_ dot by dot...wow.
