Not (necessarily) counting other 最 compounds like 最近 etc. (all the same derivation, some different meanings in usage, or so I understand)

Guardian:
这一位呢，是我们单位最人畜无害的小鲜肉 (this is the most harmless nice young man in our unit; the 人畜无害 amuses me)
赵云澜，虽然我们认识的时间不长，可我已经把你当成我最好的朋友了。 (Zhao Yunlan, although we have not known each other long, you have already become my best friend.)
整个特调处里，最照顾小郭就是老楚了。(aw)

My practice:
我也不讨厌狗，不过猫最可爱。
我倒周末是最忙的。

虽然我们认识的时间不长
Oh oh oh! I learned a thing that ties into this bit! I was very excited to learn this, even though you all may already know it.

We know that 认识 means to know somebody, BUT you can only use it for people that you mutually know! So when 赵云澜 goes back in time, he can't actually say that he 认识沈巍, because at that point, 沈巍不认识他！Zhao Yunlan would have to say, 我知道沈巍 - I know OF him, but he doesn't know me, so I can't say I KNOW him. I never knew that 知道 was used this way, I always thought it was more of a factual type of understanding.

Anyway, that was my moment of excited learning from this week, hopefully I wasn't alone in not knowing this usage, lol.

Oh, neat, I had no idea! so you might translate 认识 as something like "be acquainted with" (only even more so? (And it's certainly perfect for Guardian, a very rare instance in which X 认识 Y 但是 Y 不认识 X, 所以只能说 X 知道 Y，twice over lol.) 谢谢啊！
