I finished adding punctuation to the transcript of The Rebel episode 2, and this caught my eye: 老虎凳 ("old tiger bench," meaning torture chair). Curious about the etymology of that one!

Seriously! I've read that cells for drunks in Japanese prisons used to be called 虎箱 and 豚箱, tiger box and pig box, but I don't know how accurate that is.
