Strange as it might seem, 好容易 has the same meaning as 好不容易

Whaaaat. I've only ever heard 好容易 with the exact opposite meaning, "very easy." :/

好容易 at Wiktionary:

1. (literally) so easy; not difficult at all
2. (idiomatic, often used adverbially) with much difficulty; very difficult

This is a contranym. Its meaning varies depending on its position and part of speech in a sentence.
