Date: 2022-06-22 04:33 am (UTC)Oh, cool. I'm glad the Wiki covers this point, because I've always wondered if there was any difference between the 试试 and 试一试 constructions. At least once during an Italki lesson I mistakenly transcribed a 试一试 phrase without the 一 and got corrected, so I was curious if there was some nuance of difference I was missing!

I too have never heard this, though admittedly I don't watch many shows with school buildings. I would have expected it to show up somewhere in Guardian if it were common, though!
