I haven't said this in a while, because the vocab is getting tough, but 安 seems pretty basic to me thanks to 안녕(하세요), the first word you learn in Korean.

安 does seem pretty basic! I know we've had some 安-related words before, but not the character itself. Funny choice on their part.
