The dictionary says 伥 means "ghost of sb devoured by a tiger who helps the tiger devour others", which is delightfully specific. :D

I've run across 伥 multiple times and am delighted by it every time I look it up. :D I keep not bothering to actually learn it because it does seem so ridiculously specific, but the fact that I've had to look it up multiple times may be evidence that it's not actually as rare as one might expect. XD (It's probably just that I just keep unwittingly running across this same chengyu over and over...)
