(...okay, the numbers associated with 倍 and the explanation thereof don't seem to make sense even within this page, or am I not smart enough? Also they seem to suggest that 两倍 is 2x at the top and 3x at the bottom, while Baidu seems to think it could even be 2³. I give up. For the record, I'm assured that in Japanese 一倍 is 1x and ∅倍 and 两倍 are both 2x. 哎哟.)
