Unlike the 会, 能, and 可以 page I think I now sort of get the difference between 或者 and 还是 (stressing 'sort of' but oh well).

Yeah, the 还是 vs 或者 distinction actually seems to make good sense! (knock wood)

Huh, why? They're the standard measurements these days, aren't they? Surely you'd always use them unless you were deliberately trying to be historical/antiquated/etc. ...

Oh, just world-building-ish--like, if Haixing isn't China, would they necessarily have the same metrics? (It would be fun to come up with something like 海斤，海里 lol, although I think 海里 actually means knots or whatever they're called...)
