Ooh, I had no idea about 那个 being used as a filler, I'm a pretty new Mandarin learner but I've had the lessons on apps with 那个 and 这个 and the apps only ever have those as 'that one' and 'this one' and when I'd recognize 那个 being said when watching something I was always so confused by it!

It's a surprisingly useful thing to know! (Not getting into 哪个, which one, which I think can also sound like nèige, but at least there's some context for keeping them straight...)
