(There are a couple of different grammatical usage cases listed, but I don't think separating them over two days is going to be helpful here. Also, the CGW lists "anyway" as its meaning, but to me "in any case" hits closer; a bit like どうせ in Japanese...)

It's not about worldliness or skills, it's that Zhou Zishu doesn't appreciate the good things in life - the next sentence is, 一饮一食乃是人生最享乐之事，你怎么动不动就这般随意对付呢。

(The subtitles have it as "you don't know how to enjoy life", but tbh just "you don't know how to live" would do fine IMO.)
