None of these 来说 phrases appear in SHL, alas.

酒店: I would never in a million years have guessed that meaning "hotel"! (Though the dictionary says it can also mean pub, which seems much more sensical to me ...)

I know! (In Japanese it just means "liquor store," which makes sense.) The other word for hotel is 宾馆, which actually lines up with the meaning, but I don't know how the two are different...

There's also 饭店, which means hotel as well as (the more obvious) restaurant. No clue what the difference is either ...

And checking the dictionary, I see there's also 旅馆 ... WHY. /o\

Oh yeah, 饭店 is the one that does me in; I can remember 酒店 as an oddity, but I can't keep straight which of 饭店 and 饭馆 and 餐厅 can mean "hotel" as well as "restaurant"...

餐厅 is the only one of these I don't have trouble with, because cāntīng -> canteen. *g*

These are very neat! I don't remember hearing them a lot in shows I've watched, so I'm wondering about usage frequency, but I might just not have noticed...

I think I've come across 一般来说 and 具体来说, but not sure about the others. They're nice and straightforward!
