Coincidentally, tonight I just rewatched a 种地吧 episode in which Chen Shaoxi, motivating himself while doing a tedious task, used 慢慢:
坚持就是胜利。你不要看着好多。我们要一个小目标慢慢地来。你要是盯着大目标的话，你肯定就会觉得很累了，就会觉得搞不动了。但是你要这么搞的话就会搞得动了。就是一步一步慢慢地来。从小目标到大目标。
