Couldn't find this one to check on the Japanese, but I'm curious! (I did hear that they call him "Chin Moqun" in Japanese instead of "Chin Mokugun" which I'd have expected...)

In that scene, they just call him "Chin-san." I checked an earlier scene and the colonel calls him "Chin Moqun" (or ?"Chin Mochun").

Yup. Every book on China in Japanese I've read painstakingly provides Japanese readings for all the names (which drives me nuts; I know how to pronounce them in Japanese and also I don't care, tell me what the Chinese reading is!) so I bet they would've been using his Japanese pronunciation, but goodness knows how you research a thing like that... .
