Bai Yu singing in Cantonese (should be queued to the right spot, around 23:13): https://youtu.be/nfTEvJ0bjlI?t=1393 during his 2017 birthday livestream. In the livestream, he mentions Guardian a few times -- he read the novel, and filming of the drama was going to start soon. And he sings a lot even though his throat wasn't feeling good. And defends his beard. XD

Oh, thank you for the livestream link and the cues! I'm bookmarking that for the next time I need something that cheers me up, Bai Yu is always such a delight.
I have the little Vogue film saved but I haven't watched it yet, there's been such a flood of new Zhu Yilong stuff lately. I'm looking forward to it.

Bai Yu singing in Cantonese

Obviously I had to listen to this. :D Very cool to hear him singing in other dialects! And I actually recognized the Cantonese song -- random trivia, but it's 海闊天空 by Beyond. (It's one of the band's most famous songs and, I just read on Wikipedia, "has been adopted for several events in Cantonese-speaking regions [...] most prominently as the unofficial anthem of the 2014 Hong Kong protests.") (Though the reason it was familiar to me was actually because Andy Lau did a cover of it on one of his albums... but in Mandarin. XD)

The Vogue film is very pretty, and Zhu Yilong is adorable as usual. <3 I also enjoyed Ni Ni -- I'd seen her before, but in a Hong Kong movie where she was dubbed over, so it was nice to hear her real voice! I feel like I got a much better sense of her acting here with her natural voice. I see you said she was in Rise of the Phoenixes too -- I felt like I recognized her name when I read your post about that, but couldn't remember who she was until I watched this video.

Thank you for the link to the original song. I wondered what it was. I'd love to hear Andy Lau sing it in Cantonese, though his Mandarin version is lovely.

I enjoyed the Vogue film a lot. As someone put it, "beautiful people, beautifully lit in a beautiful setting, being beautiful." :D
