(I know Wenella圣人 has one with English subtitles up on YouTube, I wanted to watch it without the English first…).

Thank you for the livestream link! I was just thinking earlier this week that I'd like to see Chinese subs to see if I'm actually understanding him more...or if he's saying something completely different than I think he is. :D

This week I played around with another background prop from Guardian: from episode 5, it's a computer screen of information about Dragon City water supplies.

The translations are rough! I was too curious not to try it, though, and learned a little bit about hydrology, I guess. :D Corrections welcome!

I'm not sure about 'viscosity' - is there some other meaning there, possibly? it's not something you'd really test for water quality purposes, and it's definitely not something you'd put in a pie chart with 'purity' (which I would hope would be greater than 3%).

on the other hand TDS (total dissolved solids) is absolutely something you test on tap water and the numbers in the bar graph seem pretty reasonable.

(edit: nope, that says 'viscosity' and 'purity' and I suppose it should surprise me more that one of the graphs isn't complete nonsense than that one of them is. :) )

That’s good info about the TDS chart - thank you! Viscosity didn’t make sense to me, either, especially not in a pie chart with purity, but I couldn’t find a different translation. :( I liked their reference citations, though. :D

(My reactions are divided between "amazing, nice translation and also look at that almost-realistic background screen someone came up with (I wonder if one of the staff randomly had a background in this kind of thing)" and "aagh, that looks just like something I might translate for work" (although of course not from Chinese).)

It caught my eye because it looked like something real that might’ve been repurposed, and I wondered if they’d simply changed [city name] to Dragon City. It looks like more creative effort went into it than that, and I remain a fan of the show’s prop department! :D
