You could learn every word in a whole 40-episode show and still not know how to say "blue."
lol, too true! (Although I wonder how many colors you could put together from names. In Guardian alone, aside from 蓝, there's 白素霞 (not to speak of 白宇), 祝红, 黑袍使, 黄 what's his face the mogul...)

I would have thought all the basic colors would get labelled as beginner material.
The HSK lists are truly mysterious. Who puts these things together. (They also don't seem to contain useful everyday words like "hairbrush," "stove," "diary" and so on...).
