I read trobadora's comment before the example sentences in the post, and was indeed expecting to look up and find a quote from the kitchen scene! But then remembered that, oh yeah, they don't actually talk about the knife in that scene...

Good question! I've been thinking about wading into Lofter (that's mostly where Chinese fics live, is that right?) but I don't know where to start...

Yeah, Lofter is what I've heard too. I poked at it a few times some years ago, but never really knew how to find anything beyond just browsing a tag. Nowadays it's all behind a login wall, so even that's not possible any more without an account. *sighs*

I do have WeChat, so theoretically I think I should be able to make a Lofter account without TOO much hassle. "theoretically" being the operative word. I'll keep you posted...
