Thank you for the daily lesson! ^.^

The 是 in the third sentence confuses me a little, is it placed there as an equivalent to “that” - as in there are no nerves that a lollipop can't resolve? Or is it only for emphasis?

Jumping in since I'm here (and I like grammar! :)

I think "[X]是[Y]的" is a fairly common structure in general -- basically, the 的 at the end is turning the whole final part of the sentence [一根棒棒糖不能解决的] into one long adjective. So it's the same sort of structure as if you were to say in English "no cats are blue" or "there's no problem [that] is unsolvable."

没有什么紧张是一根棒棒糖不能解决的

Literally I think this would be, like, "There is no nervousness [that] is such-that-a-lollipop-can't-resolve-it." (ETA: Or just "No nervousness is unresolvable-by-a-lollipop.")

That makes a lot of sense. The 的 was so far away that I forgot its existence! Thanks for the crystal clear explanation. :D
(It’s funny how I tried making my own sentence earlier and it also involved cats - there are no cats that I wouldn’t pet - Da Qing probably took control of our minds for a couple of seconds)

Hah, probably. XD Da Qing forcing us to make all our example sentences with cats...

Grammar is so much fun. And this is a great explanation, yeah!

Also, "unresolvable by lollipop" is a fantastic phrase. :D
