Since you used it and I've been puzzling over this one, what's the usage difference between 咱们 and 我们?

I should've written his name as Xiaobai, since it's his first name, that might have been less confusing--just so used to the Xiao Bai usage from elsewhere :)

I'm not sure either! It sounds very possible. Another couple days of 着 coming up, we can see which one it fits into best.

Me neither! You'd think it would come up in a drama somewhere...I plan to spend a few days on the 着 page since it's so complicated, when we get down to the "for fun" one I'll try to find some examples.

Ah! This one I actually understand (I think) and it's neat. 我们 is the general "we," while 咱们 is "we, including you, the person/people I'm talking to."
(See also Guardian ep. 36, where Zhao Yunlan says to Lin Jing "Are you really prepared to help 我们?" and Lin Jing answers "不是你们，是咱们.")
