I didn't get as much practice in this week as I wanted, although I'm pleased that I was able to read enough of the Chinese hardsubs in Burning Ice to follow along when the machine-translated English subtitles were complete nonsense. It was a bit more work than I expected from a show with official English subs (*wince*) but it felt good to recognize words & phrases and to understand the on-screen texts that weren't translated at all. Yay for this community helping me! \o/
