I feel like "Southeast Asia Mandarin" is essentially code for "cross-contamination with whatever the immigrant majority dialect happened to be, what is Standard"* LOL
But yeah while I think I'd default to 先 coming before almost all the time, I could also imagine saying something like 那我去换衣服先,我们等下五点见面?Though that said, 先 coming after does sound comprehensible-but-wrong to me in quite a lot of cases.
* literally me @ Duolingo on Canto-to-Mando exercises because it insists on making me answer in the "A比B还贵" order, when the "A还贵过B" literal parallel to the Canto construction it's teaching is right there (and is also what I actually use myself, Standard or no).
